ABOUT WE CREATE
We Create 2025 — Better Block SGF’s 6th annual community-powered design competition and showcase — will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Hotel Vandivort Compass Room (260 E. McDaniel St.)!
Thank you to our partners, Urban Land Institute (ULI) of Southwest Missouri and American Institute of Architects (AIA) Springfield, for making this event possible.
Each year, members of the Springfield community come together to explore creative solutions to specific challenges. In the spirit of collaboration and friendly competition, teams have less than 24 hours to create innovative proposals that inspire positive change in our city.
This year, teams will explore neighborhood hubs — public spaces that enable access to a range of resources and community-led activities — as a place-based approach to addressing gaps in social infrastructure.

Teams of 2-5 members are eligible. Teams report at 8:00 a.m. on March 1. Each team is required to make a 10-minute presentation (followed by a 5-minute Q&A). Teams are not expected to present concrete solutions — only concepts. RSVP at the link below or email info@betterblocksgf.org.
