We Create 2023 challenged participants to create proposals that addressed “red flag” items identified in the Community Focus 2021 Report. These topics provided the framework to develop innovative design solutions. Each proposal had to address a minimum of two red flag topics:

Diversity and Equity

Green Space Preservation

Public Transit

Concerns About Water Sources

Teams, composed of 3-5 members, were asked to develop schematic concepts and design approaches within the time constraints of a single-day charette. A jury of community leaders and design professionals selected the winning proposal. Each proposal was evaluated according to the following criteria:
